Roadkill Road

Waking up after a 10h sleep at about 5:30 is just great. I haven't slept so well in ages.

After getting ready and writing my diary, I left the Caravan Park around 07:00 towards the Yorkshire Dales.

But before I could enjoy them I had to drive to the last parts of the Yorkshire Moors. Just after leaving them behind me and had turned into another small road, there was one road kill after another. I counted about 23 in just over a mile.

A sad picture for any animal lover!

Since my Sat-Nav software is made for motorbikes it takes me on a lot of small and windy roads. It's way better then just driving on those Dual Carriage- or even motorways.

Around 15:30 I found the perfect parking spot to spend the night. Silly me thought it was too early to stop and carried on. I should have checked where I was because if I had, I would have noticed that if I carry on for another two hours, I'd end up around Edinburgh, which is of course too busy to find quiet car park.

So I ended up driving until 19:30 to find a car park to stay the night. Luckily I found one on a small and quiet road and you're officially aloud to spend the night there. Yeah!
