A lateish start
I couldn't almost believe my eyes when I looked at my watch this morning - 07:45. It's been a long time since I managed to sleep that long.
The weather this morning wasn't as nice as the last once. It was quite cloudy, a coolish (7 degrees) and then it started to drizzle.
After I washed myself with cold water, a good way to wake yourself up, especially in some Scottish morning wind, I started to carry on the famous NC500 towards Drumbeg. Then turned south past Ullapool and now I'm staying at a wild camp spot along the A832, which is part of the NC500.
There are mountain almost all around me but when I look to the south I can see some which are getting hit with that last sunlight of the day and some low clouds partly covering their peaks.
Along the way I stopped for a quick photo shoot and ended up talking to a British biker (Jay) from London. We talked for a good hour about motorbike riding, how much we love Scotland.
It's these encounter that make travelling so interesting!
The scenery today changed between absolutely stunning to breathtaking and the roads were perfect for motorbike riders, especially after the sun came out.
A short visit at Ullapool's Tescos provided me with some food which I sal demolish later.
Tomorrow I should hit the Isle of Skye and I'm wondering how she is gonna greet me this time!?
Only the first time in 2006 I had good weather, all the visits after that were rather dump and unpleasant.
But I'm looking forward to see the Old Man of Storr!
