13.09.2023 - UK once more

As a spur of the moment thing I drove to the UK again, after I had a chat with a friend of mine.
While driving in Holland my DPF light came on again. By the time I had reached Cardiff, my car was in Limp-Mode.’
After some research I found a place called Hill Service (The DPF Doctor) in Newport.
On Monday I had a appointment for a checkup, which took about 1h. As it turned out a rubber air hose had a small cut. When I accelerated I could hear a hissing sound but didn't know where it came from.

This fabric rubber hose sits somewhere between the turbo charger and the engine, and caused the actually problem, a very common for Ford cars my I add.
So, If you have a Ford get this one checked. Mine one on my Ford Tourneo Connect sits in the upper left corner next to the engine. If I think about it I take a picture.
Also the sensor by the DPF didn't work correctly. Another design fault on the Ford cars because it sits way to close to the DPF, which can get rather warm.

However, now everything is sorted and she runs perfectly again. Hopefully for a long time!

Tonight I'm camping close to the A4069 which is a famous mountain road in Wales. Sadly it's only 12 miles long but the scenery is gorgeous.
